The next session that I had in photography was on Tuesday 27th September 2021 and I learned about Semiotics and Depth of Field in film.
Depth of field is an integral part of part of the film vocabulary and a tool for cinematographers to direct the audience's attention. Deterring the focus is visual in controlling the audience's gaze, as you are telling them that what is in focus in more important to pay to focus on.
Instead of talking about what the character are feeling the effects of changing the depth of field may be used to express a shift in the subjects' feelings.
